Announcements

12/18/2023

The end of another busy year is upon us. Our branch sponsored a number of activities from céilís to singing sessions to language classes to music workshops for children. It is nice to see so many people attending our events.

See cceconvention.com for details.

Some of our members traveled afar to participate in dancing events from Fresno, CA to Portland, Chicago, and even Japan! Next year, we look forward to the 2024 North American Convention, which will be held in Buffalo, New York in early April.

Comhaltas Big Draw 2023

The drawing was held in Dublin in early December and was a fundraiser for the CCE branches. We are proud to announce that the grand prize winner is a member of our branch, none other than our Chair, Susan Keith! Now 5,000 euro richer, a trip to Ireland is probably on the radar!

Fleadh Fest

We are excited and ready to share the story of the Cooley-Keegan branch and our West Region. Please feel free to share this to ensure the success of the project. We are delighted that it is available for viewing by Comhaltas members and supporters around the world.

Mallen Scholarship - Application Form - The Mallen Scholarship was established through the generosity of Kevin Mallen, an enthusiastic supporter of Comhaltas during his lifetime. The purpose of the scholarship is to support students learning to play traditional Irish music. Mr. Mallen’s generous bequest to our Branch allows us to fund this scholarship in his name.

The application for a scholarship award is open to any Cooley-Keegan member up to and including age 18. Applicant must be a junior member in good standing of the Cooley-Keegan Branch of Comhaltas.
